>Hopefully the upstairs person doesn't want to be left Elone. Thank the elf and depart there. You thank Arrille for the advice and tell him you hope she doesn't want to be left Elone. ... You sa- "Oh, I heard you the first time." You apologize and head upstairs. >Might as well take that job, once you get to Pelagiad it'll give you some Inn money. Maybe make it a goal to fit in better, I hear Colovian Fur Helms are all the rage. >Seconding You reach the second floor and are greeted by what looks to be a little tavern. It is currently empty except for the one you assume to be Elone behind the counter. She seems relaxed so you absentmindedly take a seat dangerously close to the various bottles of alcohol glistening right in front of your eyes. The Redguard woman you're assuming is Elone waits silently for your opener. Uh..... Fuck, you should have considered how you were going to approach this. You wish you were the one drinking from that tankard right now. What now? >HELLOMYNAMEISQITTAPAIARILLESAIDYOUCOULDHAVEAJOBFORMEIAMNEWHERE "Oookay...? I'm guessing you're new here?" You nod. "And Arrille said I could have a job for you?" You don't like the tone of her voice. It's as if you could almost imagine her telling the elf downstairs to mind his damn business. Y-Yeah? "Well I wouldn't really call it a job, it's just a task I haven't got to yet. Been busy with other stuff." She pauses. "So, tell me a bit about yourself." Umm... Well you're Qitta Pai and you're new here but you said that already and you need gold so you don't sleep on the streets of this place you've never even heard of and you didn't really want that because you came here looking to change your life for the better instead of repeating your old mistakes and look you're just really nervous and afraid of screwing this up. "Wow." Sorry... "It's fine, you're not the first. I just don't know if I can trust you with this task." Why? "You've been staring at my mead since you opened your mouth" Oh. >>61143958 "Oh yeah, I don't do well with alcohol, but you know work is the best way to keep... busy..." Definitely don't say that while instinctively reaching towards the ice cold refreshing alcoholic drink for your parched parched throat. >>61143958 >reach for the mead "Look, they're just a couple bottles of expensive booze for the big tavern at Pelagiad and by your look I'm not sure I can trust them with you, even if the task is pretty simple." Ok you'll be honest right now, you may have problems with drinking before but you're really trying to change here, you've been sober for a whole month! Your right hand subconsciously reaches for the tankard next to you. "That's empty." You admit you don't do well with alcohol, but the best way to deal with it is by keeping busy, right? A moment of silence goes by as she judges you. ...Please? She sighs. "Fiiine. I've seen a lot of bad people and you seem to have a good head on your shoulders so just make sure these bottles arrive FULL, ok?" You smile and thank her, you can feel the tears welling up out of joy. You really did it! Honest work! She hands you a bag filled with 6 expensive and hefty looking bottles that you carefully place on the bar stool next to you. This is pretty heavy but you don't let your skinny arms betray you just now. "I'm not the one paying you. You're taking these bottles to Drelasa, she's the owner of the Halfway Tavern in Pelagiad. If you say Elone sent you she'll pay for your service and I'll get the rest I'm owed if I ever visit. I noticed you're not carrying much on you so I'll let you keep the bag, it's pretty old but should have a couple more years in it. I need a new one anyways." Your tail wags wildly behind you as you thank the lady for her kindness again and again. But... you have to ask, how do you get to Pelagiad? "Exiting the town head east passing by the silt strider keep following the road until it turns north. You'll see a sign post to your west.. or your northwest depending on how close to it you are and you'll have to keep heading north until the road forks to the northwest and southeast, you'll be facing a small lake and a sign post should be south of you. Head northwest and keep following the road it forks again but this time to the north and the east. Head east and you will have arrived at Pelagiad." What? She pinches the bridge of her nose. "Just follow the road signs and travel while the sun's still up." You can do that!
