The Gold.... ?

>Your Athletics skill increased.
>Hold tongue out and taste rain.
You poke your tongue out and catch a few drops of rain. You close your eyes and your brain tells you it's just water that tastes like dirt but your body basks in the moment.
You can feel your breathing steady itself, your pulse normalize as your lungs breathe deep.
As you open your eyes you realize you feel a lot better. Still thirsty and a now a bit hungry but better.

>Go get yourself that reward. Then start figuring out a room for tonight and by gods... get a bath.
>>61174325
>Get the money. Get a room. Maybe give yourself a little treat. Win at life.
Right, you want this thing off your shoulders already.
Finding the tavern isn't a challenge, you push open the bulky door and... it's surprisingly quiet and empty for such a big place.
You reach the counter and lay the bag on the bar stool next to you.
You introduce yourself and say Elone sent you to deliver these bottles.
"Hello dear, I'm Drelasa Ramothran and this is my tavern. If she sent you I assume she's slacking off again in that dingy place. Fine, hand them to me."
You open the bag and hand the silver tinted bottles that you now recognize as some type of whiskey.
The handsome Dark Elf next to you whistles as he catches a side-glance at them.
Curiously, you ask her why deliver them by hand.
"This, dear, is Flin. Not only are the bottles themselves delicate, the reason I hired Elone to get these for me is because of how problematic they are when it comes to the subjects of taxes and importation. I am making an investment."
You don't really understand much about expensive booze and what makes it expensive so you clumsily segue into the matter of your payment.
"Hmm, right. Here are 15 septims for bringing them from Seyda Neen to the Halfway Tavern."
15?!
"Well, yes. I would have picked them up myself if I didn't have other things to tend to."
Well... right, the trip is not far or even dangerous. You don't want to seem ungrateful or anything so you thank her. Now, how much would a meal, a bed to sleep and a bath be?
"15 septims."
...
But that's all the money you just made.
"Yes, it is."
W-Well is there anywhere else you could sleep in this place?
"I don't believe there is and before you consider it, sleeping on the streets is illegal. Look 15 septims is as low as you can get here, if money is your concern we can talk tomorrow."
Aagh, fine...
She picks the coins back up, tells you the directions to your room and says your bath will prepared before she closes up the place for the night. You are allowed dinner and breakfast.
All in all this is a pretty good deal for how cheap it is.
Well, you're free to do what you want now.
Looking around the tavern you see some interesting customers.
A handsome Dark Elf sits in one of the bar stools close to the counter.
A Suthay-raht Khajiit with pierced ears sits close to the staircase looking at her claws.
A Wood Elf is reading a book at a long table in the corner.
And a chieseled Dark Elf with a tattooed face stands close to the door holding a shield.
You could also explore the rest of the town, not that there's much to see other than two shops and the fort.
What are you doing for the rest of the evening?

>Go inspect your room.
>>61190511
>sigh lets see what we can get for our 15 septim for that room
Yeah, you're curious to take a look at your investment here. Sure, you'll be spending time in that room later but you want to see it NOW.
Walking upstairs you reach the door at the back of the hall and head inside. Hey, to your surprise this place seems pretty cozy. You have to admit, you didn't like the tacky rugs that seem to hang onto every wall you've seen but they're kinda growing on you.
This has a crooked tree and some bushes or something.
You check the chest and it's empty. I mean... you weren't hoping to find a pile of gold or anything but it's damn near pristine in there. You leave your empty worn bag inside it for now.

>Ok. Well it's 15 gold... maybe you could establish daily runs between the two places. Then soon after become the merchant queen of Morrowind.
You know what? Yeah! You could become a courier or something, that run went pretty well. You could expand your business in the future and create a courier network or something!
It's probably a lot harder than it sounds actually but you should keep the courier idea in mind for now.

>I say we go talk to the Khajiit woman. Cautiously. Ask about job opportunities.
>Secondly, feel little bit proud, you are sure there is alternate universe somewhere where the alternate you is doing far worse than YOU you is doing at the moment.
This is you we're talking about. You just got a room with your own money and did some real work out there. It's not much but it's a start! In any other scenario you would have probably fallen back into alcohol and had a threesome with an orc and a unicorn, maybe even a necromancer and a skeleton. Wouldn't be the wildest things you banged to be fair.
You feel proud and tell yourself it's only up from here.
Alright, enough of inflating your own ego. Maybe that Khajiit woman downstairs knows of any good job opportunities? A Khajiit friend would be cool.
You return to the first floor and notice the burly elf with a shield is gone.
You look at the Khajiit woman and she shifts her gaze from you back to her claws.
You approach.
"Ahnassi listens, Ahnassi hears."
You introduce yourself and say you're new around here.
"Yes, Ahnassi knows Khajiit is not from here. This one can tell from the way you walk and the way you speak this one is not from Elsweyr either."
You tell her you're from Hammerfell actually.
"Hmm, long way from Vvardenfell. This one is escaping from someone or something, no?"
O-Oh um...
You feel like she sees right through you. What do you say? What do you do?
