Think about what Ahnassi told you yesterday... you are not qualified for the job... she thinks you are not fit to be an adventurer like her and as you experienced yourself, she has a good eye maybe heed her intuition if you can't trust yours.
Maybe you could get by sweeping the floors here for now, perhaps a bigger opportunity would come your way.
The courier job sounds enticing though. It would get you into shape and led you to different places.

Yeah, Ahnassi is right. You're not very much good at anything, getting used to the region and its people would do you some good.
The courier business seems like a good idea but you need something to protect yourself and the goods you could possibly carry... and probably learn how to protect yourself too.

You start a conversation by mentioning her work around here and shift the focus to your concerns about surviving around here but she quickly picks up on where you're trying to go.

Piles of fortunes from venturing deep into the unknown sounds great but you are no hero of legend. You were thinking something along the lines of a courier, someone that sticks to the roads and maps.
"Good thinking, dear. I'll get straight to it, if you want some starting funds I am willing to hire you temporarily. Of course, you're free to stay in my inn for however long you wish IF you pay. The work is simple, scrubbing the floors, cleaning the tables, taking and delivering orders and, lastly, preparing baths."

"Really. Gods know I need a break from all this work. Regarding your payment, I'll give you 20 septims a day and you will be allowed to work here for three days. It goes without saying that that tips are yours to keep. If you keep your ears peeled you could learn a thing or two."
You are guaranteed 5 septims or more a day, not much but it's a profit already.
